A hyper-local, community-based research project aimed at listening to the experiences of Black and mixed heritage women, birthing people, and their family members who have had maternity care or delivered at Basildon Hospital in the last 3 years - through safe listening circles.

Status: In progress since April 2026

Partners: Mid South Essex ICB, MNVP

Projected Outcomes: The project will result in a comprehensive report with recommendations for meaningful change, designed to ensure these local voices are heard and acted upon for the benefit of the next family entering the service.

Creating personalised lullabies with parents to support maternal mental health and early childhood development.
